It was a pleasure getting to know Protima over the last few years at the dog park. She.alway lit up with pride and love when she talked about her son and their travels and his accomplishments at Virgina Tech! She was engaged and caring in conversations about our families, and quick to join and energize our social gatherings, which were too few in hindsight. She would bring Leila with her as we walked through the trails and meadows of Echo Lake, and it was clear how much she cared for Leila and how loyal Leila was to Protima. It's not easy to make and keep friends these days, especially over the last few years, but many of us at the park were honored to be her friend and will treasure the moments.
