Obituary of Jitendra Shah

July 31, 1945 - January 17, 2024

We are sad to announce the passing of Jitendra (Jitu) P. Shah. Jitu enjoyed a wonderful 78+ years of life and was blessed with a large and loving following of family and friends who will miss him tremendously. 

Jitu was born in Ahmedabad in 1945 and moved to Germany in 1968 for work before finally settling in the US in 1969. He married Shreedevi Shah in 1972, and together they raised two sons. He followed in his father’s footsteps and entered the ship cargo brokering business in which he enjoyed a successful career for nearly 40 years before retiring in 2008.

Jitu leaves behind a wife of nearly 52 years: Shreedevi Shah. Two sons (and their wives): Niraj (married to Mona) and Mihir (married to Pragati). He also has three teenage grandchildren: Jayan, Sahil and Avani.
