Obituary of Vasudeo Yashvant Katdare

Vasudeo Yashvant Katdare departed this world on Monday, January 17, 2022, to join his mother Annapurna, father Yashvant, sisters Kamal and Vimal in eternal heaven. He is survived by his wife Shubhada, son Umesh, daughter-in-law Qaisra, grandson Janak, and granddaughter Sidra whom he cared for dearly. He also leaves behind his siblings Malu, Vasant, Pushpa, Vidya, and Neelu who he always kept in his thoughts and prayers.

Also known as Madhu to his family and friends and Baba to his two grandchildren, he had a lifelong career of over 40 years in the airline industry working for Indian Airlines and US Airways until his retirement over 20 years ago.  It was at that time he changed his career when he became a grandparent and loved every minute of baseball games, tae kwon do, soccer, football, lacrosse, and sports that his grandchildren took part in over those years. After all those years of dutiful service Madhu was able to travel around the world  with his family and when asked to take a trip his answer would be “let me check my schedule, oh okay I’m free that week, let’s go!”

We were fortunate to have him for guidance, support, wisdom, and love for the happiest part of his 81.989 years. He is already missed but his schedule is once again freed up to take that trip.
