Obituary of Apabhai Patel

It is with deep sorrow that we announce that our grandfather and patriarch of the family, Apabhai Somabhai Patel (Apadada), peacefully passed away on the morning of April 21st, 2020 at 4 am in his sleep due to natural causes at the wonderful age of 87. He is survived by the families of his three sons, which include 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He took pride in his work, both on his farm in Sojitra, Gujarat (India) and here in one of family businesses in Union, NJ (USA), where he was affectionately known to his friends as "Pops." He was a selfless man who always put the needs of others above his own, whether it was helping at the business or around the house. He always smiled when you talked to him or when friends and family would visit him, and would make sure nobody left empty-handed or hungry. While not a man of many words, he showered people in love with his attention, affection, and actions. The funeral service will be held next week on Thursday, April 30th, and will be available via a live stream provided by the funeral home for those who want to join and wish to take part of it.
